The Alertwise WordPress Plugin allows users to send push notifications automatically when a post or page is published or updated. This guide walks you through installing, configuring, and using the plugin efficiently.

Installing the Plugin

follow below steps to install plugin on your WordPress website -

Step 1: Search for the Plugin

• Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
• Navigate to Plugins > Add New.
• In the search bar, type “Alertwise”.
• Locate the Alertwise plugin and click Install Now.
• Once installed, click Activate.

Step 2: Access Plugin Home Page

• After activation, go to Alertwise Plugin Home Page from the WordPress dashboard.
• The home page contains:
  • An Installation Video explaining setup steps.
  • Step-by-step Installation Guide.
  • Links to Useful Blog Articles for best practices.

The Alertwise Plugin Home Page offers following key actions:

Get Started

• Clicking this button will open the Alertwise Plugin Settings panel.
• This page contains three main tabs: API, Settings, and Documentation.

Documentation

Clicking this button redirects users to the official Alertwise documentation website, where you can find detailed information about installation, usage, and troubleshooting.

Configuring the Plugin

Once you click Get Started, you will land on the Alertwise Plugin Settings Page, which consists of three tabs:

Tab 1: API Configuration

Basic API Settings:

• App ID (Required): Enter your Alertwise App ID.
• Application Server Public Key: This field will auto-populate.
• Click Verify & Save to confirm your API credentials.

Tip: If you don’t have an App ID or Public Key, click the provided link to generate them.

Tab 2: Notification Settings

These settings control when notifications are sent.

• Automatically send notifications when a POST is published or updated
• Automatically send notifications when a PAGE is published or updated
• Click Save Changes to apply the settings.

Notification Automation on Post/Page Publishing

When a user enables the notification settings in the plugin panel, the following options appear in the WordPress Post/Page Editor (Right Sidebar Panel) under

Alertwise Panel:

• Automatically send notifications when a POST is published or updated
• Automatically send notifications when a PAGE is published or updated
• Select Audience Group (Create New) – Dropdown list with audience groups created in the Alertwise main panel.
• All – Send notifications to all users.

Note

Notifications will be auto-triggered when a post or page is published or updated.
