Audience Groups

An Audience Group is a collection of subscribers that match specific criteria, allowing you to send targeted push notifications. By organizing your audience into groups, you can improve engagement, personalize messages, and enhance the overall effectiveness of your push notification campaigns.

On the Audience Groups page, you can:

  • View all existing audience groups.
  • Create a new audience group based on specific criteria.
  • Edit an existing audience group.
  • Delete an audience group when it is no longer needed.

Viewing Audience Groups

When you open the Audience Groups page, you will see a list of all previously created groups. Each entry typically includes:

  • Group Name – A descriptive name for the audience group.
  • Description – A brief explanation of the group’s purpose.
  • Actions – Buttons to Edit or Delete the group.

To create a new group, click on the Create Audience Group button.

Creating an Audience Group

To create an audience group, follow these steps:

Step 1: Open the Create Audience Group Form

Click the Create Audience Group button. This will open a form where you can define the group’s settings.

Step 2: Enter Basic Details

Fill in the following fields:

  • Name – A unique and meaningful name for the group.
  • Description – A short description of the group’s purpose.

Step 3: Define Selection Criteria

This step allows you to specify which subscribers should be included in the group.

Choosing Matching Rules

The group can include subscribers based on specific criteria. The selection process works as follows:

1️⃣ Select Criteria – Choose from the following options:

  • Segment (Pre-defined user segments)
  • Browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.)
  • Device (Desktop, Mobile, Tablet)
  • Country
  • State
  • City
  • Subscription Date
  • Last Sent Date (Last time a notification was sent)
  • Last Click Date (Last time a user clicked a notification)
  • Last View Date (Last time a notification was viewed)
  • Total Sent Count (Number of notifications sent to the user)
  • Total Clicked Count (Number of times the user clicked on notifications)
  • Total View Count (Number of times the user viewed notifications)
  • Subscriber’s ID (Unique identifier for each subscriber)

2️⃣ Set the Condition – Choose one of the following conditions:

  • Is any of the following (Includes only selected values)
  • Is none of the following (Excludes selected values)

3️⃣ Select Values – Based on your first selection, the next dropdown will populate relevant options. For example:

  • If you choose Browser, the dropdown will display options like Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.
  • If you choose Country, the dropdown will show a list of countries based on your subscriber data.
  • If you choose Subscription Date, you can pick a date range.

Multiple selections are allowed for each criterion.

Adding Multiple Filter Conditions

You can add multiple filter conditions to refine the audience group further.

➕ Click the “Add Filter Condition” button to include additional filters. For example, you can create a group that includes:

  • Using Chrome or Edge browsers
  • Subscribed within the last 30 days

Each condition will be applied together, ensuring highly targeted audience groups.

Using OR Conditions

In addition to multiple filter conditions, you can use OR conditions to broaden the selection criteria.

➕ Click the “Add OR Condition” button to create an alternative rule set.

For example, you can create an audience group that includes:

  • Users in the United States OR Users in Canada
  • Using Chrome or Edge OR Using Firefox or Safari

Each OR condition can have multiple filter conditions inside it, making audience selection even more flexible.

Step 4: View Audience Insights

As you define the criteria, the system dynamically calculates how many subscribers meet the conditions.

  • 📊 Pie Chart – A visual representation of the audience distribution.
  • 🔄 Refresh Count Button – Click this button to update the subscriber count based on the selected criteria.

Step 5: Save the Audience Group

Once you’re satisfied with the criteria, click “Save Audience Group” to finalize the group. The new group will be added to the list and available for use in push notification campaigns.

Editing an Audience Group

To edit audience group click on pencil icon

Editing follows the same process as creating an audience group, but the form will be pre-populated with existing values. You can modify:

  • The name and description
  • The selection criteria
  • The OR conditions and filters

After making the necessary changes, click “Update Audience Group” to update the group.

To delete an audience group:

Click the Delete Icon button to remove the group you want.
