The My Account section in AlertWise allows you to update your personal information, change your password, and securely manage your API key.
Keeping this information accurate and secure is essential for account safety and uninterrupted service.

Personal Information

Name

  • Displays the name associated with your account.
  • You can update it to reflect your current business or personal identity.

Email

  • Displays the email address linked to your account.
  • This email is used for login, notifications, and important account updates.
  • If you need to change your email, contact AlertWise Support for assistance.

Change Password

If you want to update your password:

  1. Go to Change Password in the My Account section.
  2. Enter your current password.
  3. Choose a strong new password containing a mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols.
  4. Confirm the new password and save changes.

Tip: Change your password periodically to keep your account secure.

API Key Management

Your API Key is a unique credential that authenticates your requests to the AlertWise API.

Warning: Keep your API key secret and safe.
Anyone with your REST API key can send notifications from your app.

  • Never expose your REST API key in publicly accessible code.
  • Do not share your API key on GitHub, forums, or social media.
  • If you believe your API key has been compromised, regenerate it immediately from this page.

Regenerating Your API Key

  1. Locate the API Key section on the My Account page.
  2. Click Regenerate API Key.
  3. Confirm the action.
  4. Update any applications or scripts that use the API key with the new value.

Security Reminders

  • Keep both your password and API key private.
  • Log out from public devices after use.
